This document describes how FileTruck handles personal data when you browse our website, create an account, request ECU files, purchase downloads, or contact us. We follow GDPR principles: data minimisation, purpose limitation, and security-by-default.

  2. Processing orders and providing the service (file delivery, purchase verification, invoices/receipts).
  3. Customer support (contact forms, emails, troubleshooting requests).

  5. Optional communications (e.g., service updates / newsletters if you explicitly opt in).

Typical data categories:

  • Identity & contact: name, email, phone (if provided).
  • Billing: invoice details (e.g., VAT/NIF) when applicable.
  • Service data: requests you submit, file IDs/stage IDs, order references.
  • Technical/usage: IP address, timestamps, device/browser signals, basic logs.

Providing some data is necessary to use core services (account + purchase + download). Optional fields stay optional.

  • Contract necessity (Art. 6(1)(b)): to deliver purchased downloads and manage your account.
  • Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)): accounting/tax requirements where applicable.
  • Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)): security, fraud prevention, service improvement.
  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)): only where you explicitly opt in (e.g., newsletters).
